We value our ewes. Without well bred ewe mothers, you don't have a lamb crop and although they contribute 50% of the breeding to a lamb's genetic make-up, they contribute 99.9% of the sweat equity into getting lambs physically to weaning. Good healthy, hardy ewes are essential. We have invested wisely in our Texel ewes and are happy with them all.

This girl and her sister (look identical) were our first Texel ewes purchased from Little Creek Lambs of Oregon in 2003 as ewe lambs . They are more of the Dutch type of Texel, shorter height and length but very muscular and easy fleshing. They are the first to get fat on grass of all of our ewes each year. Neg OPP so far.
