WOOL PRODUCTS

Acceptance Mark
CCS Texel and Coopworth Wool grown here on our farm in the Kittitas Valley of Washington State is a fantastic "renewable resource" with great insulation properties. It is not scratchy and itchy to wear...it's just knowing what kinds of garments to make from what types of wool! If you want to "spin your own" we have raw wool and roving. If you are a knitter, we carry a full line of yarns of different weights. If you appreciate wearing natural fibers, we carry finished wool products. See what we have in stock currently below.

Coopworth wool has sheen, luster and softness.  It is suitable for anything worn against the skin, gloves, hats, socks, scarves, etc. Felts great!
What our customers have to say...

Brenda C. from CA - "Oh my!!!!  I got the fleeces yesterday and they are stunning...I'm so excited - you have extremely lovely fleece and should be proud of your product...!

Judy M. from WI - "I absolutely love your yarn!"

Mary D. from MD - "I told my husband didnt know if I wanted to spin it or leave it in the bag to touch [roving]."

Sue C. from WA - "It is wonderful.  It drafts very easily.  I will certainly contact you for more when I have this spun up."

Diane J. said- "I received the roving and was pleasantly surprised. It is great quality."

Kathy M. - "The fleece arrived and it looks great! Thanks.

Texel wool is a "down" breed type with more density and loft. The loft means it has air between the fibers and lends itself to providing superior insulation. Makes great outerwear. We actually throw garments made from Texel fleece in the DRYER after washing with no adverse affect. It doesn't felt much.

Texel/Coopworth wool is the best of both worlds..it still felts but has a bit more loft than the straight Coop wool. It is suitable for all garments.

Designer Accessories--
Handbags, Cosmetic Bags and Cell Phone Cases

A new medium I have been working with is needle felted fleece, a fabric from our sheep wool that we have processed at a small fiber mill in Oregon. I have been sewing since childhood so this has been a natural progression to find a way to use our fleeces in the sewing room in a useful and practical way.
Pretty in Pink Handbag
$60.00

Outer fabric is our hand-dyed pink fleece with the lining of pink/purple-flowered 100% cotton print that makes me think of warmer weather. A purple over-the-shoulder leather handle and pink/purple hand-spun yarn embellishment on the flap with button closure and tassle make this a fashion statement for spring 2008!

This bag measures 7" x 13" and holds everything you'll need.

The Walkabout Bag

$42.00

In thinking of warmer days ahead, I think of taking walks, visiting the farmer's market and getting out more. The "walkabout bag" is the perfect size and holds just enough to keep you going all day but not enough to weigh you down. This fun bag measures 7" wide by 9" tall with just enough room inside to fit your essentials--debit card, some cash, a lip balm and your cell phone along with a handy outer pocket on the backside so items stay secure and still handy. I hand-dyed the felt with blue jeans on my mind. I like this bag as it keeps your hands free for the dog's leash or for pushing your kids on the swings at  the park. It goes perfectly with jeans and casual attire.
The lining, shoulder-length handle and button closure strap are made from 100% cotton coordinating fabric and the outside is my hand-dyed 100% wool felt.

Care instructions: Hand wash/line dry.
